Scams & High-Needs Eldercare Help - The Kovacs Perspective

I'm looking forward to February 13th quite a bit. The Kovacs Perspective will be on, and it's my very first production effort. +Steve Kovacs will be interviewing two guests on various aspects of Eldercare. This will be an extremely informative show, so tune in. Just go to the website and click on the button between the big blue arrows. That will take you to the live broadcast, starting at 9 PM EST. You have to see this show.

The first guest, Carl Leiter, is a retired attorney who can help you find thousands of dollars to help care for family members, especially those that have needs that can't be fulfilled by the services of a regular nursing home.

High-needs care facilities are very expensive, and middle income families struggle to pay the bills as it is. In a lot of cases people end up losing their homes. Do yourself a favour, and find out your options before you're in this situation! Carl is going to show you how, and where you can turn for help when you need it.

The second guest, Art Maines, will be talking about scams perpetrated against the elderly. He'll tell us all about ways of determining if someone you know might be a victim of this type of crime. Seniors are targeted because they're vulnerable, and you never know where the criminal is coming from. This man knows from experience what it's like to have a relative targeted, as his father was scammed of tens of thousands of dollars.

Art has a unique perspective on these situations, and not just because of the personal aspect. He's a counselor who has had to help his father heal from the damage done by these unscrupulous louts. It isn't all about the money, and it isn't all about pride. There are many issues that need to be addressed when someone you love is victimized in any way.

If there are seniors that you care about, or you know anyone who has a vulnerable elder in their life, make sure you watch the show, and tell your friends about it. It's on live at 9 PM EST, Wednesday, February 13th. See you there!
